Mysore/Mysuru: International Women's Day was celebrated at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) in the city recently. It was jointly organised by the Dean of Student Welfare and Department of Physical Education, VVCE.
Registrar of University of Mysore V.R. Shylaja was the chief guest. She spoke at length on women-centric policies at the workplace aimed at promoting gender equality, rendering support and addressing challenges faced by women employees. Shyalaja was in praise of the institution’s policy on equal pay, diversity and inclusion initiatives, highlighting significant number of women staff.
