Mysuru/Mysore: “Women are closer to nature. Many aspects of nature can be seen in them,” opined Vidu. Dr. Tulasi Ramachandra.
Speaking after inaugurating Women’s Day celebrations held at Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University here recently, she said, “Every village in our country has a resident 'goddess' who is invoked as a living deity. Ancient India had built respect and reverence for women. Nowhere else in the world can we see this kind of culture.”
