Mysore/Mysuru: A 45-year-old woman was killed on the spot, when a car hit her near Dadadahalli in the taluk on Sunday.
The deceased is Jayamma, a labourer at a brick kiln near Dadadahalli and a resident of Kamagere in Kollegal taluk. Jayamma, who had worked in another brick kiln near Rayanahundi, was on her way to fetch vessels, which she had left behind, when a speeding Maruti Swift car hit her from behind resulting in Jayamma sustaining serious injuries and breathing her last on the spot. The person behind the wheels of the car, abandoned the vehicle on the spot and has fled.
