Mysore/Mysuru: A case has been registered against a woman for allegedly cheating a man of Rs. 3.20 lakh on the pretext of giving her house on lease and also for caste abuse at Hebbal Police Station.
G. Jayalakshmi Singh, a resident of Hebbal, had advertised on OLX about giving her house near Sankranti Circle on lease. S. Sandesh, an engineer and a resident of Brindavan Layout, who noticed the advertisement, met Jayalakshmi, held talks with her and between July 18 and 26, Sandesh paid a total sum of Rs. 3.20 lakh in phases following which Jayalakshmi had said that she would hand over the house in 15 days, the complaint stated.
