Hunsur: The Hunsur Rural Police have arrested a woman and two others for the murder of her husband. The arrested have been identified as Nagamani, her paramour Suresh alias Sudesh and Harish of Chikka Hunsur village. Nagamani, a native of K.R. Nagar taluk, was married to one Mahadev of Hootagalli in Mysuru about 13 years ago and the couple had a child. But Nagamani befriended Yogesh, a labourer and married him after deserting her husband Mahadeva 10 years ago. Nagamani after her marriage with Yogesh, stayed at Chikka Hunsur and the couple had a girl child. But Nagamani developed an affair with Suresh, a friend of her husband Yogesh. The couple are said to have quarrelled several times over the affair. Nagamani and Suresh after hatching a plot to finish off Yogesh, hit Yogesh with a wooden bar near the water tank at Chikka Hunsur on Oct.9. After confirming that Yogesh was dead, Nagamani, Suresh and his friend Harish, took the body to their house and tied it hanging from the window grill in order to portray the crime as a case of suicide. After learning of Yogesh’s death, his father lodged a murder complaint with the Hunsur Rural Police suspecting Nagamani. Even as the complaint was lodged, Nagamani along with her paramour Suresh and his friend Harish went missing from the village. The Police, who began investigation, arrested Suresh from Yelwal, while Nagamani and Harish were arrested near H.D. Kote Circle at Hunsur town. The nabbing operation was carried out by Hunsur CPI K.C. Poovaiah, PSI Puttaswamy and staff under the guidance of SP Ravi D. Channannavar and ASP N. Rudramuni.
