With the increase in the inflow to Kabini Dam over the past few days following monsoon rains, the Kabini Irrigation Consultation Committee has ordered release of water to Left Bank and Right Bank canals of the Dam from July 10 to 25.
The water release is meant for filling up tanks and other water bodies in villages located in the Kabini River basin. Further more, release of water to canals for Kharif crops will be considered if the inflow increases further and the water level in the Dam rises as monsoon progresses.
