Mysuru: As per the decision of the Irrigation Advisory Committee, water will be released from Kabini Dam to Kabini Left and Right bank canals, Hullahalli and Rampura Canals from Aug. 5, according to the Superintending Engineer, Kabini and Varuna Canal Circle.
The water released to canals must be utilised only for drinking water and filling up water bodies. The Irrigation Department will not be responsible if farmers use the water for cultivating crops and other irrigation purposes, according to a release.
