Shivamogga: The low-lying areas in Shivamogga city such as Tipu Nagar, Rajendra Nagar, Bapujinagar, Manjunatha Layout, Ashwathangar and Vidyanagar witnessed water-logging owing to heavy rainfall for the past three days. The flood water entered the houses forcing many residents to vacate the area. In Shivamogga, all major rivers including Tunga, Bhadra, Varada, Sharminavati, Malati, Mavinahole, Kumadavaiti are flowing above the danger mark.
