Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), in line with the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 and as per the Karnataka Gazette Notification dated Mar. 11, has intensified enforcement of waste disposal regulations and the plastic ban.
Between Feb. 21 and Mar. 30, the MCC imposed fines amounting to Rs. 5,33,600 for various violations. A total of Rs. 93,500 was collected from those dumping waste in unauthorised places, Rs. 8,800 from households for improper disposal of mixed waste and Rs. 32,000 from commercial establishments for similar offences.
