The District Administration and Department of Kannada and Culture is organising Vishwamanava Day celebration on Dec. 29 at 10.30 am at Kalamandira in city to commemorate the birth anniversary of Rashtrakavi Kuvempu. District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will inaugurate the function. Chamaraja MLA K. Harishgowda will preside. Animal Husbandry Minister K. Venkatesh, MPs Pratap Simmha, V. Sreenivasa Prasad and Sumalatha Ambarish will be the chief guests. MLAs Tanveer Sait, Anil Chikkamadu, G.T. Devegowda, Ravishankar, T.S. Srivatsa, Darshan Dhruvanarayan, G.D. Harish Gowda and others will participate in the programme.
