In memory of Rashtrakavi Kuvempu, Dejagow Trust and Sri Kuvempu Vidyavardhaka Trust, Jayalakshmipuram, have been conferring ‘Vishwamanava Award’ to litterateurs every year. Accordingly, applications are invited from eligible litterateurs for this year’s award. Authors who have written about Kuvempu and his works are eligible. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 25,000. Likewise, an endowment fund has been established by Sri Kuvempu Vidyavardhaka Trust to felicitate persons who have served for the growth and development of Kannada language and State, in memory of Karnataka Ratna, Nadoja Dr. Dejagow. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 and a citation. Decision of selection committee will be final. The awards will be conferred at a function to mark the birth anniversary of Kuvempu on Dec.29. Interested may send three sets of their literary work along with their biodata and recent photograph to Shivasundara Satyendra, Secretary, Sri Kuvempu Vidyavardhaka Trust, Kalidasa Road, Jayalakshmipuram, Mysuru-12 before Nov.30.
