Mysuru: Hunsur town in the district, which witnessed tension during the Hanuma Jayanti celebration on Sunday, limped back to normalcy yesterday, even as it continues to be heavily guarded by a posse of Cops. Police have beefed up security in the town which is about 46 kms from Mysuru and have intensified patrolling. Early on Monday, commercial establishments were open and public transport was not withdrawn. The BJP which had called for Hunsur bandh on Monday in protest against the arrest of MP Pratap Simha and others, withdrew its bandh call at 10 am. An idol of Lord Hanuman, which was placed at Muneshwar Kaval Grounds to be taken in a procession on Sunday, has been moved to Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple. As the procession was cancelled owing to the violence, the authorities moved in and shifted the idol to the Temple premises.
