State Sugarcane Growers’ Association President Kurubur Shantakumar has said that the Federation of Farmer Associations will take out ‘Vidhana Soudha Chalo’ march on Sept. 30 to seek the implementation of their demands including cancellation of amendment of Land Reforms Act among others which was promised by the Congress party during its election campaign. The government must also direct sugar factories to pay arrears of Rs.150 per ton fixed last year to sugarcane farmers.
