Mysore/Mysuru: Seeking fulfilment of their 31-point charter of demands and also in protest against what it called the anti-farmer and anti-labour policies of the Union and State Governments, the CITU (Centre of Indian Trade Unions) will take out a Vidhana Soudha Chalo to the State capital on Mar.4, when the Budget Session of the State Assembly will commence.

The CITU, in a press release, urged the Government to repeal the three newly introduced farm laws, which are against the interests of the farming community and also to scrap the four new Labour codes which are detrimental to the interests of the working class. It also sought the Government to fulfil the demands of working class, which included minimum monthly wage of Rs. 24,000, dropping of privatisation moves of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), equal pay for equal work, establishment of Labour Court in all districts, an end to illegal Layoff, Lockout and retrenchments, regularisation of services of Anganwadi, mid-day meal and ASHA workers, formation of Welfare Board for auto, taxi drivers and other such workers in the unorganised sector and monthly pension of Rs. 6,000 for Beedi workers who are facing an existential crisis, among others.
