Mysore/Mysuru: Outsourced vehicle drivers and watermen of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) will stage a State-wide protest on Sept. 28, seeking fulfilment of their various demands, which chiefly included payment of direct wages as is being done in the case of Pourakarmikas.
Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, Karnataka State Corporations, City Municipal Corporations, Town Municipal Corporations and Town Panchayats Outsourced Vehicle Drivers Association State President M.B. Nagannagowda said that more than 10,000 people were working as outsourced vehicle drivers and watermen in ULBs across the State.
