Mysore/Mysuru: Seeking fulfilment of their various demands, vehicle drivers, under the banner of Karnataka Vehicle Drivers Welfare Association, presented a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) here yesterday.
The memorandum said that though the Government had said that 7.75 lakh vehicle drivers would benefit by Rs. 5,000 one-time financial assistance announced by Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa four months ago during the COVID-19 lockdown, hardly 1.2 lakh drivers have got assistance, while a majority of drivers are yet to receive the same.
