Mysore/Mysuru: Urging the MCC to waive off water bills of the poor and not to disconnect water supply to the houses, the members of Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI) - Communist, staged a protest in front of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Office here yesterday.
The protestors said that when the Government Departments itself have to pay pending water bills to the tune of Rs. 45 crore, but instead of collecting the arrears from these Government Departments, the MCC was disconnecting water supply connections of houses of the poor.
