The Department of Physical Education, University of Mysore (UoM), will be conducting the South Zone Inter-University Kho-Kho tournament for men from Jan. 17 to Jan. 20 and the All India tournament for men from Jan. 22 to Jan. 24 at the University grounds here. A total of 62 University teams from South Zone will be seen in action in the South Zone leg of the tourney which will be played on a knock-out-cum-league basis. Mangalore University, the defending champion, Kuvempu University (runner-up), University of Mysore (3rd place winner) and University of Calicut (fourth place) have been directly seeded into the quarter-finals. Felicitation On the occasion of the inaugural and closing functions, the players of the Medal-winning teams who represented University of Mysore in the men's section and brought laurels, will be felicitated. Inauguration The South Zone Kho-Kho tournament will be inaugurated by Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha on Jan. 17 at 8.30 am at the University grounds, in the presence of In-charge Vice-Chancellor of University of Mysore Prof. C. Basavaraju. D. Bharati, Registrar, University of Mysore, will also be present.
