New Delhi: The Budget Session of Parliament will take place from Jan.29 to Feb.9 while the Union Budget will be presented on Feb.1, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said yesterday. The first phase of the Session will be from Jan.29 to Feb.9. After a recess, Parliament will meet again from Mar.5 to Apr.6, Kumar told reporters. President Ram Nath Kovind will address a joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha on Jan.29. The Economic Survey will also be tabled on the same day. The Budget Session will have 31 sittings and besides presenting the Budget, the priority of the Government will be to get Parliament nod on the pending Triple Talaq Bill and the Constitution Amendment Bill to grant statutory status to the National Backward Classes Commission.
