Borappa Shetty, who was the District General Secretary of the Federation of Kayaka Samaja (working class community), has been unanimously elected as the District President of the Federation. His election was necessitated after his predecessor K.P. Puttasiddashetty joined the Bahujana Samaja Party (BSP) and was later removed as the District President at a meeting held recently. Now, Maddeva Ganiga has been appointed as the District General Secretary and Dr. K. Vijayakumar as the District Honorary President of the Federation, according to a press release.
