An University Grant Commission (UGC) Expert Committee consisting of six members will visit St. Philomena’s College (Autonomous) on Oct. 3 and 4 to review and extend its autonomy. St. Philomena’s College was granted academic autonomy in 2011 for a period of six years. The University of Mysore, the Government of Karnataka and UGC sanctioned autonomy after a detailed study of the preparedness and capability of the College.
