Mysuru: A City Court has sentenced two persons to life imprisonment after holding them guilty of murdering a 20-year-old woman in 2014. Swamy and Shankar of Ranganathapura in Begur hobli of Gundlupet taluk are the ones who have been sentenced, while the case of a minor boy, who is also an accused, is pending before the Court.
Swamy, who was said to be interested in marrying one Puttammanni of his village, had lured her to come to Nanjangud along with him, after promising her of marriage. She was also asked to bring cash and jewellery.
