Mysore/Mysuru: Online fraudsters have siphoned off a total of Rs. 6.67 lakh from the Bank accounts of two senior citizens in the guise of asking the elder citizens to pay their pending power bills by installing a Quick Support mobile phone app.

In the first case, K.B. Ramaprakash, a resident of an apartment in V.V. Mohalla, received a message on his mobile phone which asked him to pay the pending power bill failing which power connection to his flat would be disconnected.
