Mysuru: Two convicted prisoners serving jail sentences in city’s Central Prison have died within a day of each other. The deceased prisoners have been identified as Mani (40) of Kodagu district and Hamid (45) of Shivamogga district. While Mani was sentenced in a murder case, Hamid was serving a jail term for violation of Forest Act. The two, who took ill a few days ago, were being treated in K.R. Hospital. While Mani died on Friday, Hamid died on Saturday, it is learnt. Mandi Police have registered a case in this regard.
