Mysuru: General Secretary of City BJP Mahila Morcha Lakshmidevi and loyal party worker Lakshmi Gowda of the BJP are competing for a BJP ticket from Chamundeshwari. The Chamundeshwari constituency is witnessing a high-voltage political battle between Chief Minister Siddharamaiah and incumbent JD(S) MLA G.T. Devegowda.
As soon as Star of Mysore broke the news yesterday that the BJP is likely to field Lakshmidevi from Chamundeshwari to wean away women voters from Congress, Lakshmi Gowda claimed that she too was an aspirant for the party ticket.
