Two-day BSNL contract employees convention begins tomorrow

Mysuru: The two-day 2nd State Convention of BSNL contract employees will be held on Jan.26 and 27 at Regional Telecom Training Centre auditorium in Kuvempunagar here. The convention will urge the Government to regularise the contract employees with minimum wages to come under labour laws. The programme will be inaugurated tomorrow at 11.30 am by BSNL Casual and Contract Workers Federation All India President V.A.N. Namboodri. BSNL Employees Union Regional Secretary and Federation State President C.K. Gundanna will preside. Federation All India General Secretary Animesh Mishra will be the chief guest. CITU State Secretary K.N. Umesh will deliver the valedictory address on Jan. 27.
