Mysuru: Bahujana Vidyarthi Sangha (BVS) had organised a programme at Gandhi Bhavan in Manasagangothri here to pay tributes to MLA K.S. Puttannaiah who passed away recently.
After offering floral tributes to a portrait of Puttannaiah, Oriental Research Institute Director Dr. Shivarajappa suggested that in memory of Puttannaiah, one lakh saplings should be planted in each district of the State as the deceased MLA had suggested to plant a sapling instead of performing obsequies. He hailed Puttannaiah, who was very practical in approach to any issue, as an encyclopaedia on farming.
