‘Ra. Sa. Shraddhanjali Samarpana Okkuta’ has organised a special programme at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road to pay tribute to eminent Musicologist and Padma Shri Award, ‘Mahamahopadhyaya’ Dr. R. Sathyanarayana on Feb. 8 at 6.15 pm. Sanskrit Scholar Dr. H.V. Nagaraja Rao will inaugurate the event. Renowned Veena Maestro Dr. R. Visweswaran will preside. Accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer Vidushi Jyothi Pattabhiram will be the chief guest. Members of the Okkuta Vidwan H.K. Narasimhamurthy, Vidwan K. Ramachandra, Vidushi Rohini Subbaratnam, Sumukha Srivatsa, Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar, Prof. Ramamurthy Rao, Vidushi Dr. Kripa Phadke, Vidushi Radhika Nandakumar, Dr. Jyothishankar and Dr. R.K. Padmanabha will be present. Later, a Music Concert will be held dedicated to the compositions of Dr. R. Sathyanarayana with vocal concert by Dr. R.S. Nandakumar. He will be accompanied by Hosahalli Raghuram on violin, Vidwan G.S. Nagaraj on mridanga and Vidwan V.S. Ramesh on morching.
