The Department of Treasury and Accounts has organised a one-day training programme for all Drawing and Disbursement Officers in connection with Goods and Services Tax (GST) deduction procedures on Sept.26 from 10 am to 1 pm at Rani Bahadur Auditorium in Manasagangothri here. Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) acts as a powerful instrument to prevent tax evasion as well as expands the tax net, stated the release.
