As per the Government order, the working hours of the staff at libraries, coming under the Department of Public Libraries which were till now under Gram Panchayat limits and are now upgraded to City Council, Municipal Council, Town Panchayat and MCC limits, have been extended from 6 hours to 8 hours. Government declared holidays, second & fourth Tuesdays and every Monday of the month will be a holiday for libraries, according to a press release from the District Central Library Deputy Director.
