The annual Shashti Jatra of the famous Subramanyeshwara Swamy Temple at Siddalingapura on Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway will take place on Dec.2. As there will be heavy rush on that day, with devotees jostling with each other to have darshan of the deity from close range, tight Police security will be made to ensure the safety and security of the devotees. Apart from Police personnel, Revenue Department employees too will be deployed at the Temple. The Revenue staff will function at the Temple from 3 pm on the afternoon of Dec.1 to 11 pm night on Dec.2. Also, those who want to distribute ‘prasada’ among the devotees during the Dec.2 Jatra, will have to register at the Mysuru Taluk Tahsildar Office in the city, according to a press release.
