In the first incident, a 21-year-old medical student committed suicide by hanging self at her room in the hostel yesterday morning. The deceased girl has been identified as Puttaharika, a native of Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, who was pursuing her second year MBBS course at JSS Medical College here and staying in its hostel.
