Being a Sunday today coupled with Guru Purnima, thousands of devotees visited Shankar Mutt in Fort Mohalla here this morning to receive blessings from Sringeri Mutt Seer Sri Bharathi Theertha Swamiji and junior pontiff Sri Vidhushekara Bharathi Swamiji who arrived in city yesterday.
Early in the morning, the Seers went to Srirangapatna to perform Ayushkarma at Cauvery River. A Pada Puja was performed by Sri Bhanuprakash Sharma who donated a silver covering to adorn the deity at Sringeri Sharada Peetha. The Seers visited Gosayi Ghat later and returned to Mysuru.
