‘Thiruppavai’ discourse at Andal Mandiram from Dec. 16

Mysuru: As part of Dhanurmasa puja, Sri Andal Mandiram Trust, V.V. Puram, Mysuru, has organised a discourse on ‘Thiruppavai’ by Dr. G.V. Narasimhan at its premises from Dec.16 to Jan.13 between 5.30 pm and 7 pm daily. Profile: Born in the year 1988 in a reputed family of the disciples of Sri Ramanujacharya, Dr. G.V. Narasimhan is the son of Gomatam Varadaraja Iyengar and Neela Varadarajan. He has undergone training in Sanskrit lessons from his father and  M.D. Alamelamma, in 4,000 Divya Prabandham, Krishna Yajurveda Patam and Yajusha Poorna Prayoga Patam. His Gurus are Thirunarayanapuram U.Ve. Kainkaryam Srinivasa Iyengar for Dwayamanthropadesam, U.Ve. Ariyar Ramashama Swamy for Grantha Kalakshepam and U.Ve Veeraraghavachar Swamy for Nyaya Vedantha Patam. A doctorate holder in Commerce, Dr. Narasimhan is serving as Assistant Professor at PES College in Mandya.
