Delhi’s Rashid Khan, who largely went unnoticed on the first three days of the Rs.30 lakh TATA Steel PGTI Players Championship presented by Chandigarh Golf Club, knocked out all his closest rivals with a gallant final round of six-under-66 to register a two-shot victory at 13-under-275.
Mysuru lad M.S. Yashas Chandra returned with a good performance on the final day with a card of two-under-70 and finished joint 29th with a four-day aggregate score of one-under-287 (69+71+77+70). Yashas on a fine note finished the season eighth on the prize-money earnings.
