Mysuru: “In order to provide skill development and employment for rural unemployed youth, a taluk-level job mela under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) will be organised,” said ZP Deputy Secretary Shivakumar Swamy.
Addressing a preliminary meeting at Zilla Panchayat, he said that both Central and State Governments would release funds in the ratio of 60:40 to implement the programme through Government and non-Government organisations. He said that under this programme, the ZP CEOs will be heading District-level Mela and TP CEOs will be heading Taluk-level Job Mela. Rs. One lakh grant was allotted to organise job mela in the Taluk level and 200 candidates had to be provided employment.
