The Department of Urdu, Maharani’s Arts College, in association with IQAC conducted a special lecture on the topic ‘Urdu language and opportunities’ at the college auditorium recently. Prof. B.T. Vijay, Principal, presided. Nyamathulla Khan, Member, Karnataka Urdu Academy, was the main speaker. Prof. Rajeev Poorna Chandra, HoD of English and Co-ordinator, IQAC, was present. Prof. Ishrathunnisa, HoD, Urdu, introduced the guests. Prof. Baseerath Sultana, Prof. Safinaz, Prof. Fathimunnisa Begum, Prof. Syeda Nikhat Fatima, Prof. Nagalakshmi and Prof. Latha were present.
The programme started with Qirat by Raheela Anjum, Naat by Noor Hajira, BiBi Ayesha and Tabassum Taj. Farha Naaz welcomed. Tanzia Banu proposed a vote of thanks. Kubra Banu and Tabasum Taj compered.
