Shooting is one of the competitive sporting event in the world sporting scene. Many Indian shooters have earned fame in the International and National level. With the exploits of Abhinav Bindra in the Olympics, Indian shooting got an uplift and many shooters have taken up to the sport. Mysuru also has its share of success in the shooting field with multi-talented youngster Rakshit Shastry, representing India in the Intl. Shooting Competition of Hanover, Germany, on May 9 and winning silver medal in the 10m Air Pistol Men Team Event. He is our 'Star This Week.'
Rakshith (97+94+88+92+93 +94=558), teaming up with Anmol Jain (564) and Pankaj Kalakoti (580), returned with a cumulative score of 1702 and secured silver medal.
