Badminton is a very popular sport in the world sporting scene and India has been faring well in the international circuit.
The achievements of stars like Prakash Padukone, Syed Modi, Gopichand and now Saina Nehwal, P.V. Sindhu, Srikanth have inspired many youngsters to take up this sport. Our city's youngster S. Bhargav has done everyone proud with his feats in the junior level at the South Zone and State level. Bhargav won the boys U-19 singles and doubles titles. Representing Karnataka, he finished runner-up in the Team event of the South Zone Inter-State Badminton Championship 2019 at Kalaburagi. He is our ‘Star This Week’.
