Mysore/Mysuru: Dodda Basavaraju, Managing Director (MD) of Karnataka Udyoga Mitra (KUD) under the Department of Commerce and Industries told Star of Mysore that there are indications that Taiwan-based Foxconn, known for assembling iPhones for Apple, is considering the establishment of a manufacturing facility at the designated site at Kadakola Industrial Area in Nanjangud.
Foxconn, in collaboration with Vedanta, is currently in the process of constructing an electronic goods manufacturing unit on a 300-acre plot in Bengaluru. Additionally, Foxconn has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the establishment of two more units, with estimated costs of Rs. 2,000 crore and Rs. 2,900 crore respectively.
