The Jathra Mahotsava of Sri Tripurasundaramma Temple, Mugur village, T. Narasipur taluk, has been cancelled due to spike in COVID and Omicron cases, according to a press release from T. Narasipur Taluk Tahsildar. As there is weekend curfew in place to contain COVID, neighbouring villagers and all other devotees, other than Mugur villagers, have been banned entry to the temple from Jan. 12 to 21, the press release added.
