In order to provide a comfortable travel experience to unreserved passengers undertaking short distance journeys, the South Western Railway (SWR) has earmarked some Sleeper Class coaches of trains as Unreserved Second Class over identified sections of Hubballi, Bengaluru and Mysuru divisions.
Accordingly, now passengers can buy unreserved journey tickets for commute in these earmarked sleeper class coaches in the notified section. Passengers travelling in other than prescribed coaches will have to pay the difference of fare between the two classes and penalty charges.
