The Suttur Cattle Fair, which was scheduled to be held as part of the annual Suttur Jatra Mahotsava (Jan. 18 to 23) at Suttur in Nanjangud taluk, stands cancelled following the outbreak of the deadly Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD). The cancellation comes after the DC, in an order on Jan. 3, had prohibited all Cattle Fairs in the district until further orders as a precautionary measure to check the spread of deadly LSD cattle pandemic, according to a press release.
