Mysuru: State Transport Commissioner B. Dayananda warned that if the vehicles’ silencers are modified then the RCs of such vehicles will be suspended.
He was chairing a review meeting of the district-level RTOs and ARTOs of Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Kodagu and Mandya, here yesterday, for the first time in Mysuru at RTO West, after assuming office and said a few youth were modifying the silencers of their cars and two-wheelers. By driving or riding such vehicles with modified silencers, they were creating sound pollution. This also resulted in causing accidents and the noise level is so high that it is disturbing the peace of children, elders and the patients.
