Mysore/Mysuru: Excel Public School has announced its Summer STREAM Boot Camp-2026, a 15-day experiential learning programme for students entering Grades 6, 7, 8 and 9.

The initiative brings together three specialised camps: 1. STREAM Exploration Workshop - Wonder Quest, 2. Astronomy and HAM Radio workshop - Signals to Stars and 3. Theatre & Performance Workshop, offering students opportunities to explore science, technology, creativity and performing arts through hands-on learning experiences.

The programme will be conducted from Apr. 1 to 18 between 9 am and 1 pm, at the Excel Public School campus in Koorgalli, Mysuru. Each camp will accommodate 30 to 40 students per batch.

Wonder Quest introduces students to STREAM-based exploration through themed learning modules that combine science, creativity and hands-on making.

Signals to Stars introduces students to astronomy and amateur radio communication through practical sessions conducted at the school’s Astronomy Observatory and Amateur Radio Station. The camp includes telescope observations, solar astronomy, constellation mapping, satellite tracking and SSTV reception, along with workshops where students build telescopes and explore astronomy software.

Participants will also be introduced to the fundamentals of HAM radio communication, including Morse code, antenna design, radio electronics and long-distance communication (DXing).

The Theatre & Performance Workshop focuses on creative expression and stage performance through a structured three-phase programme. The workshop begins with theatre games, voice and speech training, body movement exercises, improvisation and creative activities that introduce students to stagecraft.

The second phase moves into script exploration, character development, scene rehearsals and stage blocking, allowing participants to experience the process of producing a theatre performance.

The programme concludes with a final stage presentation, followed by reflection sessions that encourage students to connect theatre skills with communication, confidence and teamwork in everyday life.
