The Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports has invited applications from SC community sportspersons who have won medals at National and International sports meets, for availing subsidy to set up gymnasium as Self-employment, under Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan (SCSP) scheme. The applicants must be unemployed. The Department will pay 75 percent subsidy (maximum of Rs.15 lakh), while the rest 25 percent has to be paid by the beneficiary. The Gym equipment will be provided only to SC sportspersons from Karnataka whose age does not exceed 40 years as on the date of application. Interested can submit the filled in application forms at the Department office located in Chamundi Vihar Stadium premises, before Sept. 21. For details, call Ph: 0821-2564179.
