The Social Welfare Department has asked all non-conforming beneficiary students of Pre-Matric, Post-Matric and other such scholarships to seed their Bank account with Aadhaar card, as the scholarship amount due to them will be directly credited to their accounts through DBT portal. Those students who have not done Aadhaar seeding so far, are required to open an Indian Postal Payment Bank (IPPB) account at a Post Office close to their house, where Aadhaar seeding will be done without hassles. As such, the beneficiary students are asked to open a IPPB account and make use of it in getting scholarship through direct payment, according to a press release issued by the Joint Director of Social Welfare Department.
