Mysuru: A 20-year-old student was killed when a cement-laden vehicle rammed into the bike he was riding on JLB Road-Devaraj Urs Road junction yesterday afternoon. The deceased student is Raghu, son of Devaraju and a resident of Yaraganahalli in city. He was pursuing his Diploma course at Banumaiah ITI College in Udayagiri here.

Raghu was proceeding on his Yamaha bike (KA-21-E-1083) from Dasappa Circle towards Ramaswamy Circle and had stopped the bike at JLB Road-Devaraj Urs Road junction as the traffic signal had turned red. The cement laden vehicle (KA-09-C-4665) which was coming from behind rammed into the bike resulting in Raghu falling from the bike and the vehicle running over him thus killing him, according to eyewitnesses.
