Mysuru: A four-day awareness programme on eradication of child labour through jathas and street plays, organised jointly by District Administration, Labour Department, Anti-Child Labour Society and Rural Literacy and Health Programme (RLHP), was launched yesterday in front of Labour Department Office in Kuvempunagar here.
Launching the programme, Assistant Labour Commissioner A.C. Thammanna asked people to avoid employing children as domestic help and added that children should be allowed to continue in education.
