State Ranking Badminton Tournament begins tomorrow

Mysore District Badminton Association (MDBA) under the aegis of Karnataka Badminton Association (KBA) will be organising Karnataka State Ranking Badminton Tournament on Apr. 29 at Manasagangothri Indoor Stadium. The tournament will be inaugurated by MP Pratap Simha. MUDA Chairman Dhruva Kumar, DC D. Randeep, University of Mysore Acting Vice Chancellor Dr. Dayananda Mane, KBA Executive Committee Member N.C. Sudhir, Joint Secretary Ravindra, University of Mysore, Department of Physical Education In-charge Director Dr. P. Krishnaiah will be the guests of honour. KBA Hon. Vice President S.G. Prabhu and MDBA Hon. President Rajashekar Koti will preside. The tournament will feature players such as Ashwini Bhat, who had earlier represented India and the current National No. 1 Doubles player in U-17 & U-19 category. This apart, Trisha Hegde, Driti Yatesh, Tejas kallolkar, Nikhil Shyam Sriram, Deepthi Ramesh, Kriti Bharadwaj, Tanya Hemanth, Medha Shasidharan and Ananny Praveen. A total of 700 players will be taking part in the tournament which is being conducted in U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19 categories.  The association has announced a total cash prize of Rs. 1.50 lakh for the winners.
